The Journal of New Wave Dave

1st October, 2005. 5:21 am. I hate you all.

Except for those of you I don't hate. Also, I'm bringing back the LJ! (But I probably won't say anything for weeks at a time, and when I do post, it'll most likely be nonsense.)

Also, what's up with all these new stupid options? I'll leave them all at the default.

I guess I forgot to mention that I have moved my babbling, yakking, and/or complaining. You may visit me at http://www.shitpissfuckcuntcocksuckermotherfuckertitsfartturdntwat.com/ or http://jennifer.19333.com/ depending on how much you like swearing. It's the same site but one is a little more safe for work.

Take a look at this, now, do you think I can eat 100 lemons in one day? I'm going to try it, probably on Friday. Who's with me?

What a concept. I bet I'm the only one writing a 9/11 entry.

Actually I don't have much to say on it. Last year at this time I was watching the towers burn and smoke on TV. I got to stay home from work for a few hours. For a while I was reloading news websites and making PDF copies of them to share with others, since the news websites were being hammered and were inaccessible for large amounts of time.

At left is a picture taken last year, with the flag flying at half staff. No wind, so there go my chances at winning an award for a poignant picture. Oh well.

This year, I'm at work again. New office. Hmm.

I guess I had less to say than I thought.

Current mood: blah.
Current music: Lee Greenwood - God Bless The USA.mp3.

OK so I haven't written in a while. Here's a recap of my life:

"blarg"

Cactus!
Pretty boring, except yesterday the Mrs. and I went to Chapel Hill, NC to see Jump, Little Children, but like a dummy, I didn't buy tickets in advance, nor did I think the venue would be sold out. So we got to go back home. But I did get to see my friend Diana there, so, yay for that. :)

Then today more boring nonsense.

At the right is a cactus.

Current mood: okay.
Current music: Sons of Prozac - Skratches of Prozac.mp3.

7th August, 2002. 9:30 pm. Vanilla Cock Coke

OK.. nothing interesting ever happens to me... except this, which Mr. Socks said I should share with y'all. Gather 'round, kiddies.

If you have a 2-litre of pop (preferably Vanilla Coke) and a straw, here's a fun experiment.: unscrew the cap and drill a small hole in it, top down, with a pair of scissors. Make the hole just big enough that the straw will fit in it, and the little plastic blue thing inside the cap will seal the hole and make it airtight. (Actually, watertight, or not even, because pop is thicker than water). Then, suck a mouthful of pop out of the straw. It may not seem like fun until the bottle sucks air into the bottle through the straw to replace the missing pop.. and that air excites the carbonation molecules. Then a happy geyser effect happens.

Long story short, about 9:00 this morning I got squirted in the eye with Vanilla (Cock) Coke. Rather happy story, ain't it, folks?

(Story modified from original telling of tale via AIM to aforementioned Mr. Socks)

2nd August, 2002. 9:26 am. Hmm...

A couple of things..

1. Last night I had this crazy dream... the US was playing Japan in some super World Series of the future... apparently the Canadian and British teams were there too, on the sidelines. So was I, for some unknown reason. Anyway... score's tied, we go into extra innings, and the US makes a point. Japan goes up, first two batters are out, it's all up to this last guy. So I start taunting him.. he gets really pissed off. He swings at a wild pitch, strike 1! Then the ball bounces off the backstop and he sees it again and apparently we're playing old school rules.. he swings again and it's strike 2. I laugh, he gets more upset. Just as he's about to connect with the third pitch I distract him, strike 3, game over, US wins. Then he comes after me and starts beating the crap out of me. Somehow I manage to get him into a piledriver, and that puts him out. Then the whole Japan team starts mobbing on me. The Canadians and British come over to help, then the US team. The scoreboad shows people in Canada yelling and screaming, then British people, then it gets to the US people and someone goes "Fuck you!" then someone says "Is that all the fuck yous America has?" and everyone in the stands (I guess we were playing in America?) says "FUCK YOU!" and starts pouring out onto the field, and it's a huge riot. THE END

2. Profound thought of the day:
Rather than asking "Who let the dogs out?"
I ask, "Who let the dogs in to begin with?"

3. I put the Colorado front license plate from my first Thunderbird onto my new Thunderbird. I hope that's not illegal.

Current mood: sleepy.
